Councillor Justin Pemberton, who previously was Executive Member for Public Safety and Community Engagement, Economic Development and Regeneration, was appointed Executive Member for Community Engagement, Economic Development and Regeneration and Devolution and Local Government Reorganisation.

Speaking of this change, Cllr Pemberton said:

"I am honoured to take on the role of Executive Member for Community Engagement, Economic Development and Regeneration, and Devolution and Local Government Reorganisation. Local government reorganisation is a crucial and impactful initiative at this moment, especially with the Ridgeway proposal. We have already started work on driving forward our ambitious economic development programme - including our town masterplans, creating a thriving business environment and revitalising our rural areas. Our focus is on supporting existing businesses, attracting new investment and fostering innovation within the community, as well as making our district a great place to live and work."

Councillor Tom McCann was appointed Executive Member for Public Safety and Capital Projects (built environment).

Speaking of his new appointment, Cllr McCann said:

"I am thrilled to have been appointed Executive Member for Public Safety and Capital Projects (built environment). Ensuring the safety and well-being of our community is my top priority, and I am committed to advancing our public safety initiatives with dedication and integrity. Additionally, I am excited to oversee our capital projects, focusing on creating a built environment that enhances the quality of life for all residents."
