Council Strategy and Performance
Our plan, goals and priorities, and how we report progress

The
set out our six priorities for improvement over four years, and reaffirmed our commitment to continue to deliver core services that people in West Berkshire need and value. After the first two years, the strategy was refreshed to ensure it was still relevant. The refresh was based upon the progress we had made and changes to the context in which the Council operated.
Performance management helps us to keep track of the progress we're making in delivering on our priorities and outcomes.
You can find out how our services are performing each quarter by reading the Performance Report on the Executive Committee agenda page or by visiting our Performance Portal.
As we've come to the end of this strategy, we've made some videos about what has been achieved over the last four years with the support of residents, businesses and partners. Alternatively, you can read our end of strategy report on the agenda of the Full Council meeting on Thursday, 25 May 2023
New Council Strategy for 2023 to 2027
As the current strategy ends at the end of March 2023, we've been working on a new strategy for 2023-2027, and you can see the progress we're making through the public consultation process on our Consultation and Engagement Hub.
Once the final strategy has been approved by elected Members at the Full Council meeting on Thursday, 25 May 2023, we'll publish it on this page and Strategies, Policies and Plans page.
