Grass Cutting Schedules
Maintenance of grass verges on highways
We cut grass verges in urban areas eight times each year. Verges on rural roads are cut twice a year.
You can see the verges we maintain by consulting our online map. The grass cutting schedule for rural verges follows the Plantlife management guidelines for grassland road verges.
The table below shows the approximate dates when each cut starts (these may vary slightly depending on weather conditions).
