West Berkshire Council care homes

West Berkshire Council manage three care homes:

• Birchwood Care Home in Newbury
• Notrees Care Home in Kintbury
• Willows Edge Care Home in Newbury

All of these care homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Notrees and Willows Edge care homes are residential. This means that we don't directly employ registered nurses, but we can arrange for community support (such as district nurses) that can come in to meet some medical needs. 

Birchwood is a registered nursing home. This means it does employ registered nurses as part of the staff team.
 

Specialist support for dementia

We provide specialist support to people with dementia in Willows Edge and Birchwood. Notrees is ideal for those with a secondary diagnosis of early stage dementia.
