Assessing the needs of the travelling community as part of the Local Plan
National planning policy requires that we make an assessment of need for Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople sites across the district.
Our 
Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) (Mar 2015) [1MB] (GTAA) sets out the overall pitch/plot requirements for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople across the district. The GTAA was carried out using a joint
methodology [1MB] , agreed with the other local authorities in Berkshire.
The Housing Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) includes the allocation of sites for Gypsies, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople.
