When you move into your own tenancy you are entitled to a £3,000 one of payment as a setting up home allowance. Or some young people use this to pay for their deposit and rent on a private rental.

You will be supported by your personal advisor to use this money wisely as this budget may not get you everything you need. To help stretch your budget further it si a good idea to look at other options than buying new. The community furniture project, Facebook and gumtree are good places to. Friends and family may also have items they do not need anymore.
