Walking in West Berkshire
The NEW 
walking map for Tilehurst and Purley-on-Thames was launched on 17th May 2010. This map is the second of two maps for the East of West Berkshire, the first map, for Theale and Calcot was launched in May 2009. The map continues the theme of the Walking in Thatcham and Walking in Newbury maps to promote a network of local walking routes and shortcuts to help offer alternatives to driving when travelling short distances. As with the previous maps, side 2 of the map has been designed with the help of children at Birch Copse Primary School, Brookfields School, Downsway Primary School, Long Lane Primary School, Purley Church of England Infant School, Springfield Primary School, St.Paul's Catholic Primary School, Westwood Farm Infants School and Westwood Farm Junior School and is called 'As the Red Kite Flies 2.'

Copies of the new map (and other maps) are available directly from all Council Offices or by contacting the Transport Policy Team .
