Health & Wellbeing Strategy
The Health and Wellbeing Strategy, 2006 - 2009 sets out the overarching aims and aspirations of the Health and Wellbeing Partnership, which is one of the sub-groups of the West Berkshire Partnership.
The Health and Wellbeing Partnership brings together statutory, community, voluntary and business sector organisations who want to improve the health and well being of the people of West Berkshire, and, in particular those individuals and groups who are less likely to achieve good health and well being.
The
Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2006-09 includes a shared vision to work in partnership across organisational and professional boundaries to deliver the outcomes people want, and to understand local needs. It sets out a single aim "to improve the health and well being of the adult population of West Berkshire through tackling inequalities in health."
Working from agreed objectives, the strategy sets out how the Partnership will work, how it will engage with all those who have an interest in improving health and well being, and how performance will be judged on the basis of improved outcomes for the people of West Berkshire. Some of the work of the Partnership is covered by the Healthier Communities and Older People's section of the Local Area Agreement
The
Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2006-09 is accompanied by
Health & Wellbeing Strategy 2006-09 Action plan which details the work being undertaken against each of the objectives, and which organisations are involved. The Action Plan is a working tool, and subject to amendment and regular review.
