Licensing

West Berkshire is responsible for issuing a wide range of licences, permits and registrations.

The majority of these are administered and enforced by the Licensing Team within  Environmental Health.

Licences are issued for many reasons but usually they are intended to protect the public and to maintain appropriate standards. In the case of licences issued for undertakings linked to animals, licences also ensure that good standards of animal welfare are also maintained.
