Nature Reserves and Commons
There are a number of beautiful countryside sites across West Berkshire which offer opportunities for quiet recreation as well as being sites which are important for wildlife and conservation.
Set amongst the remnants of its cold war past, Greenham and Crookham Commons is a wonderfully rich array of heathland, woodland, grassland and wetland, supporting a wide variety of wildlife and offering visitors the chance to enjoy a 'wild feel' during quiet recreation.
