Important information about Ground Nesting Bird Season- 1st March to 31st July:

The common is lucky enough to host a number of rare birds that return to the common to breed during the spring and summer. Some of these birds choose to nest on bare open ground, gravels and within heaths, making them very susceptible to disturbance. During this time, visitors are encouraged to avoid certain areas and be extra vigilant. Please respect signage present during this time.

Please pick up after your dog and use the dog bins provided on site.

A Dog Control Order is in force across this common and other areas of open space in West Berkshire which makes it an offence not to pick up after your dog. Failing to pick up after your dog wlll result in a fixed penalty fine.
