Social Care and Corporate Training

The Social Care and Corporate Training Team provide a comprehensive training and development programme for all West Berkshire Council staff and for managers and staff working in the private, voluntary and independent social care sector.

In addition to course details and dates the Training Programme also contains information on how to book a place, our charges, cancellation policy and contact details for all of the Social Care and Corporate Training team.

Also included is information on Qualifications, Common Induction Standards, Induction training, E-learning and assessment and other training resources for Social Care staff.

Please contact Pam Jobson for more information on any of the courses/courses not listed. Pam is West Berkshire Council's Learning & Development Co-ordinator and is on hand to offer advice and guidance to support staff in the choice of appropriate qualifications.


Common Induction Standards, online Induction Manual and Adults Social Care Workbook

It is mandatory for all employees working directly with people who use social care services to undertake refreshers as part of their job role.
