West Berkshire Cycle Forum

Partnership working between the Council and various Cycling Organisations and Interested Parties to provide for the needs of cyclists throughout West Berkshire.

West Berkshire's Cycle Forum is becoming one of the most successful Cycle Forums in the Country.  It was formed in September 2003 and meets quarterly - January, April, July and October. The members of the Cycling Forum represent a number of different cycling interests from local and regional campaign groups to those who manage the delivery of cycling infrastructure in West Berkshire and local businesses.

This is a very effective partnership which ensures the best possible decisions are made for cycling in West Berkshire. The English Regions Cycling Development Team (ERCDT) have been quoted as saying, "the Forum is performing well, with all groups learning from each other and [there being] a real desire to improve performance in a collaborative way". In addition to this, West Berkshire's Cycle Forum has been heralded as "best practice" for other local authorities to adopt.
