School Term Dates 2010-2011 and 2011-2012
West Berkshire moved to a Standard School Year from September 2005. The West Berkshire term dates allow for 1 set inset day over and above the 190 pupil days. There are 4 additional inset days which schools are able to decide for themselves and these need to be outside specified pupil days.

Term Dates 2010 - 2011
In Service Day - Wednesday 1st September 2010, the first day of term one, will be an INSET DAY for all West Berkshire Schools, therefore a non-teaching day. Children will go back in to school on Thursday 2nd September 2010.
- Term 1 - Wednesday 1st September 2010 - Friday 22nd October 2010 (Holiday: Monday 25th October 2010 - Tuesday 2nd November 2010)
- Term 2 - Wednesday 3rd November 2010 - Friday 17th December 2010 (Holiday: Monday 20th December 2010 - Tuesday 4th January 2011)
- Term 3 - Wednesday 5th January 2011 - Friday 18th February 2011 (Holiday: Monday 21st February 2011 - Friday 25th February 2011)
- Term 4 - Monday 28th February 2011 - Friday 8th April 2011 (Holiday: Monday 11th April 2011- Tuesday 26th April 2011)
- Term 5 - Wednesday 27th April 2011 - Friday 27th May 2011 (Holiday: Monday 30th May 2011 - Friday 3rd June 2011)
- Term 6 - Monday 6th June 2011 - Friday 22nd July 2011 (Holiday commences Monday 25th July 2011)
Additional Note (31/08/02010)
An extra non-contact (inset) day has been allocated for 2010/11 to enable teachers to train for the reform of the primary curriculum. Each school will be free to choose the most appropriate date for this additional training. Please refer to the specific primary / infant school for details.
