Chargeable Extra Green Waste Collection Service

You can pay to subscribe to an extra green waste collection service and will receive one extra green bin to collect green garden waste.

This service is in addition to the free green waste collection service available to all households in the District. It is designed for homes which have larger gardens or create a lot of garden waste that they are unable to compost at home. You can pay a fee to subscribe to this service and will receive one extra green bin to collect green garden waste.

How much is the service?

The 2013/2014 collection service runs between the 1^st May 2013 to 30^th April 2014.

 If you subscribe to this service between the 1^st April 2013 and the 31^st October 2013 the total cost for the service is £60 (a one off fee of £25 for the bin and £35 for collections).  If you are renewing your subscription the cost is £35 for collections only, as you paid the one off fee for the bin in 2012/13.

You can subscribe to the service at any time during the year. A reduced rate is available for applications taken for the part year service 1^st November 2013 and the 30^th April 2014.  The total cost for this reduced rate is £40 (a one off fee of £25 for the bin and £15 for collections).

If you are already subscribed to the service we will be contacting you soon to ask if you wish to renew your subscription for a another year.

How do I subscribe to the service?

Payment can be made by credit or debit card using our online payment system, or by contacting Customer Services on 01635 519080 and paying over the telephone. Alternatively payment can be made in person at the Cash Office  at the Council Offices in Market Street, Newbury.
