This webpage incorporates links to information about local bus services, passenger train services and taxis in West Berkshire.  

'Connect' is the overall brand for the District's bus network, which includes the 'Connect' services that are operated under contract to West Berkshire Council.  The 'Connect' logo denotes bus services on which the Council's 'Connect Day', 'Connect-7' seven-day and 'Connect-30' period tickets are valid.  For more information about local public transport services, please click the link here or below, to go to the Public Transport webpage

'Connect' is the overall brand for West Berkshire's bus network. Bus services in West Berkshire are operated either commercially by the bus companies, or are financially supported by the Council. Passenger trains serving the rail stations in West Berkshire are presently operated by First Great Western.

Elderly or mobility-impaired residents of West Berkshire may find it difficult to use public or private transport. The voluntary sector provide a number of schemes to assist.

Some West Berkshire Council residents are eligible for free bus travel.

The Education Transport Team is responsible for the planning and organisation of school transport for all eligible pupils and students, whether they are attending a mainstream school or college, or a school for pupils with special educational needs. Transport is provided in accordance with the policies of West Berkshire Council. The arrangements are made in such a way as to maximise the efficiency and cost effectiveness of service provision.

Licensed taxis and private hire vehicles provide a form of public transport that serves the West Berkshire area.
