A 'topping out' ceremony is to be held at the new Adventure Dolphin building in Pangbourne on Wednesday 10th March at 3pm. This is a traditional ceremony to mark structural completion of the building.

The Council has invested more than £1 million in the new centre on the bank of the River Thames to improve facilities for young people from across the district. A charitable trust of regular users is also contributing more than £300,000 which will be used towards the cost of the centre and new equipment. A cheque will be presented as part of the ceremony.

Barbara Alexander, West Berkshire Executive Councillor for Children and Young People said: "This new centre is really taking shape now, and this ceremony is an excellent way to mark the successful progress so far. The new facility will be a big improvement on the old building which had lasted well but become unsuitable. I look forward to the opening ceremony which is now only a few months away."
