Blue Badges (Disabled Parking)

The Blue Badge scheme provides a range of parking benefits for disabled people with severe walking difficulties or those who are registered as severely sight impaired, who travel either as drivers or as passengers.

The concessions apply to on-street parking and include free use of parking meters and pay-and-display bays.  Badge holders may also be exempt from limits on parking times imposed on others and can park for up to 3 hours on yellow lines (except where there is a ban on loading or unloading or other restrictions).

WHEN APPLYING FOR A RENEWAL OF AN EXISTING BLUE BADGE APPLICANTS ARE ADVISED TO APPLY AT LEAST TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS BEFORE THE EXISTING BLUE BADGE EXPIRES

Contact the Blue Badge team in Parking Services on 01635 503276/7 to have an application form sent in the post, or download the relevant application form below. 

Alternatively you may apply on-line at: https://www.gov.uk/apply-blue-badge (applications made in this way are referred to the Council for determination.)

Disabled parking provision
Mobility impaired motorists, including visitors to the Town, can enjoy free parking in both the Kennet Centre and Northbrook car parks by having their tickets validated.
