Parkour
Parkour

A programme of activities for young people aged 11 years and older looking for something different to do where all activities are provided free of charge and are led by fully qualified coaches, instructors and artists.

Sessions are based on a turn up and take part basis, no experience is necessary. Some sessions may need to be pre booked as numbers are limited. We are currently putting together the Street Active programme for the School Summer holidays. Watch this space for further details.

*Due to the drop in nature of the sessions, staff will not be responsible for young people once they have chosen to leave.

The programme has been running since May 2007 and has seen a variety of different activities taking place across the whole of the district; from Brazilian Soccer Skills to Basketball, Volleyball to Angling, Canoeing to Indoor Climbing and DJ Workshops to Skateboarding.

Angling has been very popular and features alongside newer activities like Mountain Boarding. We are always looking for new ideas for arts and leisure activities you may wish to try out and would love to hear your suggestions.

For further information on what sessions we are offering or to receive booking information contact the Arts and Leisure Development Team using the contact details.
